Cut Model

Cutting a model by plane allows you to lower the model.

Note: It is only possible to cut a model if it has more than one layer.

Option 1

1. Hover over the model and press the icon while holding down the mouse button.

2. Drag the icon up and down to cut the selected model by plane.

Tip: When you drag the icon, the current and total height of the model are displayed.

3. Release the mouse button.

Important: Supports are automatically removed after cutting.

Option 2

Note: This option is available in Live Build DLP version 2.5.455 and higher after logging in to Live Cloud, see Log in to Live Cloud through Live Build DLP.

  1. Open the Cutting widget by selecting the  icon on the left Toolbar.

  2. Click on the model on the scene to select it.

  3. Set the cutting height by entering a value in the Cutting field manually or using the mouse scroll wheel.

  4. Select Apply to cut the model.

    Important: Supports are automatically removed after cutting.
